Your Mid-Week Wine Update

I wanted to pop in with a quick mid-week update about a pretty cool event this evening over in College Park.
It’s been five years (!) since you’ve been able to walk down Main Street with a glass of wine for the Downtown College Park Wine Stroll. The College Park Main Street Association is bringing it back tonight for the first time since 2016. If you’ve lived in the Tri-Cities since then, you know there’s lots of new businesses that have moved in since.
Tonight’s event runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and features more than 20 local businesses on the Main Street and Virginia Avenue corridor (check out this map to see who is participating). You can get tickets for at this link. Just stop by the Main Street Depot in College Park to check-in and grab your glass. The $25 ticket gets you wine, light snacks and business coupons.
It’s a great way to enjoy some wine on a Thursday and get to know some great local small businesses, from restaurants to salons to tax preparers and realtors.
If you can’t make it tonight, it’s worth checking out some of the other great events College Park Main Street has going on. The organization is putting together its first-ever Tinsel Trail for the holidays. Individuals and businesses have until Nov. 1 to purchase a holiday tree to decorate on the main lawn in front of city hall.
It’s a pretty cool way to support charity and entertain the thousands of visitors to downtown College Park this holiday season. The public will have a chance to vote on their favorite trees and the proceeds from the event will be split between the organization’s Arts and Events committee and a local non-profit. The trail debuts Nov. 29 and the trees will stay up through Jan. 3, 2022.
That’s it for now. I hope to see you in College Park tonight!
