Fall weather may have scrapped this weekend’s LocalMotion Oktoberfest in the Hapeville Arts Alley but you can still satisfy your fest beer cravings with Beer Girl Growlers and Bottleshop!
Alexia and Erik are planning their first virtual tasting featuring Stephanie Grant of She Loves Craft. Pick up a special four-pack of Oktoberfest beers this weekend and then join Grant and the Beer Girl team on Zoom next Thursday for your fest beer education.
If you don’t know Grant, she’s based right here in the Atlanta area telling stories of diversity and inclusion in the beer industry. She won the 2020 Diversity in Beer Writing Grant from the North American Guild of Beer Writers and is the social media manager at Atlanta brewery Monday Night Brewing. She also writes The Share, a newsletter celebrating Black women in the industry.
And don’t forget, LocalMotion Oktoberfest returns in person on Oct. 17 and 24.
A New Face at Sanskrit Moon
If you’re considering taking up yoga this fall, Hapeville studio Sanskrit Moon has added to its deep bench of instructors this month. Courtney Ward, a 500-hour certified instructor, recently joined the team for classes on Thursday evenings.
Ward has been practicing yoga for nearly a decade and her classes focus on giving students the tools to develop body awareness, breathe more deeply and to calm the constant buzz of life.
The studio is also offering hoodies for the fall weather this week for $25.
More Treats in the Tri-Cities
Hungry for a German bite today? You can stop by Kupcakerie, open until 7 p.m. tonight, and get one of their Friday specials: the German Chocolate cupcake. These scrumptious sweets made a special appearance at last week’s LocalMotion Oktoberfest celebration and live up to the Kupcakerie name!
Pumpkin Spice Season isn’t over yet
Oktoberfest isn’t the only fall tradition that you need to rush to Hapeville for. Make sure to stop by Drip Coffee Shop as the temperature falls and leaves change for their fall specials, including the Pumpkin Cinnamon Latte and Pumpkin Chocolate Mocha.
Yum.
