Last Chance to Celebrate Oktoberfest

It’s almost November but there’s still time for one last gasp of Oktoberfest today in Hapeville.
The final festive LocalMotion Saturday is today’s Rock-toberfest in the Hapeville Arts Alley. It runs from 4 to 8 p.m. and features Tri-Cities local Lauran Hunt’s Nightwind Rhythm and Blues Band from 4 to 8 p.m.
It’s also your last chance for some beer, brats and pretzels in Hapeville’s open container district. Grab a drink at Beer Girl and get some German fare in the alley.
This is the curtain call for this year’s series of events presented by LocalMotion Festival of the Arts. The former one-day festival was split into four Saturday mini-fests for the second straight year. Festival regular Ghoul Next Door bakeshop will also be in the alley for the final Saturday mini-fest.
Funding for LocalMotion is provided by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. It is also supported in part by Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly. Georgia Council for the Arts also receives support from its partner agency, the National Endowment for the Arts.
Saturday isn’t the end of festive Hapeville, with a special Dia de los Muertos celebration coming up the night before Halloween (more on that next week). I can’t wait to see you there!
